PSD & PSB File Viewer 1.1.1.1 Updates

Since our first release, we have added many new features to PSD & PSB File Viewer. This post covers the changes introduced up to version 1.1.1.1.

More Languages and Better Colors

The app screens now come in 9 languages. We added Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Japanese, German, Vietnamese, and Chinese (Traditional). We also improved how colors are displayed. The app now uses the file's color profile to show more accurate CMYK colors.

Open Files from ZIP Archives

For Plus users, the app can now open PSD, PSB, and image files directly from inside ZIP archives. You do not need to extract the ZIP file first. If your ZIP file is protected with a standard ZIP 2.0 password, the app will ask for it and open the file.

Layer Controls and Export

We added new tools for interacting with layers, available for Plus users. You can now turn individual layers on and off. This works for RGB and Grayscale files with 8 or 16-bit depth. Please note that some elements like layer effects and adjustment layers are not applied when you toggle layers, so the image might look slightly different from Photoshop. The app will tell you if these elements are present.

You can also try new layer colors. Just tap the image to select a layer, and you can change its color with a solid fill or a hue shift. After making changes, you can save or share that specific layer as a full-resolution PNG. Your original PSD file is never changed.

Draw and Markup

We introduced a new markup feature. You can draw on the image with a pen tool, add shapes, and type text. Once you are done, you can save or share the image as a PNG with your notes on it. This is great for leaving feedback on a design. You can use the markup feature 3 times for free. Each drawing session counts once. After 3 times, you need the Plus upgrade to keep using it.

App Stability

We added an in-app update feature so you can easily get the latest version. We also improved the purchase check system. The app now handles Google Play connections more smoothly and shows better messages if there is a network issue.
